VESTAL, N.Y. – The Shippensburg University wrestling squad wrestled in three dual meets on Sunday, including two against Division I opponents, in continuing its early season schedule at Binghamton University's Sprawl & Brawl.
Shippensburg (1-5) opened the day facing Division I juggernaut Michigan State, dropping a 50-0 dual meet against the Spartans. In its second dual of the day, SU dropped a hard-fought 21-18 dual against American International – a match that featured a decision for junior

Dan Estricher.
In the matchup against the Yellowjackets, SU got a pin from freshman
Kenny Stank in 2:03 and a 13-5 decision by junior

Tom Wiechelt earned a 7-4 decision and Stank pinned his opponent in 3:30.
However, the Raiders ended up on the wrong end of the next four decisions to tie the score at 15-15. Zittle responded with a major decision, and SU held on for the 19-18 victory over Sacred Heart.
Through three weeks of the season, Zittle is 8-2 while Stank is 7-4 with four victories by fall. Estricher is 7-2 with two pins.
