SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –
The Shippensburg University volleyball team concluded its home regular season schedule in style on Friday night, playing one of its most complete matches of the season in a straight-set victory over PSAC East rival Kutztown. Set scores were 26-24, 25-23 and 25-12.

Shippensburg (16-14, 7-10 PSAC) exchanged points with the Golden Bears for pretty much the entire first set until sophomore Erin Flick closed out the frame with consecutive kills. Flick was Shippensburg's most efficient hitter Friday night, ripping nine kills on just two errors for a .318 percentage. She also added two block assists and a dig and closed out the second sit with a kill.

Junior Libby Woffindin was excellent once again – hitting .316 from the floor with 10 kills just on just four errors. She also added three service aces, one solo block and three block assists. Now armed with 97 block assists for the season, Woffindin has surpassed Kali Antolik's single-season school record for the category (93, set in 2007) .

SU's leader in kills was freshman Jill Edwards, who led all players with 13 kills while posting 13 digs. It was her 12th double-double of the season with kills and digs. With four matches still remaining in the regular season, Edwards has already racked up more kills (387) than any SU player over the last two years. She is 13 short of becoming the first Lady Raider to reach 400 kills in a season since Antolik, Colleen Toomey and Brittany Roche in 2007.

Sophomore 5-2 setter Andrea Heimsoth was excellent once again, totaling 23 assists to go along with six digs and a timely kill. Junior Julie Fye added 11 assists and five digs. Defensively, sophomore libero Lauren Murphy had 10 digs.

Shippensburg returns to action on Saturday with a tri-match hosted by Wheeling Jesuit. SU will face West Virginia Wesleyan in a neutral-site match at 3 p.m. before battling the host Cardinals at 5 p.m. The match against Wheeling Jesuit will be webcast here.
