ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The No. 2 Shippensburg University field hockey team continued its dominance against Division II with a convincing 9-0 rout over first-year program Limestone in a neutral-site contest held in Maryland. Junior Amanda Strous and freshman Sam Langone led all scorers with four points a-piece.

All nine goals came off the sticks of different players, as the Lady Raiders utilized their depth to maintain a consistent offensive attack. Senior Jamie Doughty connected for the first goal of the game less than five minutes into the contest, while Langone and senior Laura Wylde struck for early goals to give SU a 3-0 lead less than 15 minutes into the game.

Limestone, a first-year program with a coaching staff that features former Lady Raider standout Kim Davies '09, tallied two shots on goal in the contest. Senior Amanda Houser made one save in the opening half to pick up the victory while freshman Ciarra DeLost made her Lady Raider debut and recorded a save in the second half.

Shippensburg will return to action next week on Tuesday with a crucial PSAC crossover contest at Kutztown. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
