SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Sophomore
Kristina Taylor caged a hat trick and five different players scored for the Lady Raider field hockey team on Saturday afternoon from Robb Sports Complex as Shippensburg won its season-opener 8-0 over Southern Connecticut State.
Shippensburg (1-0) held a 32-7 advantage in shots and a 12-4 advantage in penalty corners. Taylor opened the scoring at the 9:43 mark after a spin-o-rama and a streak up the right side resulted in a spectacular finish.

Amanda Strous also added goals in the first half to give the Lady Raiders a 3-0 lead at intermission.
Taylor also scored just 30 seconds into the second half that established more momentum for Shippensburg. Senior
