WEST CHESTER, Pa. -
Junior forward Daziah Miller recorded his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds but it was not enough for the Raider basketball team, who dropped a 77-72 decision to the West Chester Golden Rams on Wednesday night from Hollinger Field House.

Shippensburg (12-14, 4-9 PSAC East) was within two points of the Golden Rams and had possession in the final minute, but a missed jumper led to West Chester ultimately clinching the victory with six free throws. The Raiders finished the game shooting 45 percent from the field and had a lead with 13 minutes remaining before a 7-0 Golden Ram run.

Junior guard Stephon Draper chipped in 33 minutes off the bench and had 16 points and four assists, while red-shirt junior center Derrick Graff totaled 14 points and nine rebounds. Seven different Raiders totaled points in the contest.

Graduate guard Ryan Kraft had nine points in the first half and also finished with four assists and three steals. Kraft enters the final game of the season needing 24 points to reach 1,000 for his career.

West Chester (17-9, 8-5 PSAC East) got a career-high 31 points from Kenneth St. George, as the Golden Rams hit 10-of-21 three-point attempts in the contest. The home team also hit 19-of-25 (76 percent) from the free-throw line.

Shippensburg returns to action for the regular season finale this weekend against Cheyney. Game time from Heiges Field House is set for 3 p.m.
