SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -
Senior Shane Wolter won a pair of individual events for the Shippensburg University men's swimming team on Thursday night from Donald N. Miller Pool as the Red Raiders continued their strong start to the season with a 111-94 victory over Division I Canisius.

Shippensburg (2-1) had strong performances from a number of athletes in the meet. Wolter convincingly won the 400-yard individual medley by 10 seconds with a time of 4:20.16 and went on to win the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:50.25.

Freshman Eric Naylor posted a strong time in the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.92) to win that flight, while senior Nate Ryan and freshman Eddie LaNoue finished 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle, posting respective times of 22.27 and 22.83 seconds. Naylor and Ryan joined juniors Jamie Kendall and Tim Smullen to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:29.74.

The Red Raiders return to action on Saturday, November 7 with an 11 a.m. meet at Clarion.
