Piscotty Earns 100th Career Coaching Victory At SU With Saturday Sweep

Lady Raider volleyball coach Leanne Piscotty earned her 100th career coaching victory at Shippensburg University when her team earned a 3-0 victory Saturday morning over Fairmont State at the Dutch Country Spiketacular. In her fifth season as the Lady Raider head coach, Piscotty has compiled a career coaching record of 101-62.

Shippensburg (4-5) dominated Fairmont State in its first game of the day, winning by scores of 25-9, 25-21 and 25-19. In the final game of the weekend, Piscotty's team scratched and clawed back from a 2-0 deficit to win in five sets over Adelphi. Game scores were 24-26, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12.

Piscotty is just five wins shy of becoming the winningest volleyball coach in school history. Robert Frazer  was the first coach in school history and recorded 105 victories from 1980-1985.

For their efforts over the weekend, senior libero Kelsi Hoffman and junior middle blocker Kali Antolik were named to the All-Tournament team.

Shippensburg returns to conference play on Tuesday when the team travels to Cheyney. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
