SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University volleyball team dropped a hard-fought five-set game on Tuesday night at Heiges Field House to the visiting Golden Rams of West Chester. The highly contested game featured set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 12-15.

Shippensburg (11-10, 3-3 PSAC East) was led offensively by junior Kali Antolik, who totaled a team single game-high for the season with 20 kills on just three errors along with a block solo and two block assists. Junior Hannah Sorber added a season-best 15 kills and five block assists, while freshman Katie Leitner delivered eight kills.

West Chester (14-3, 5-1 PSAC East) was tied with Shippensburg 9-9 in the fifth set, but following a timeout the Golden Rams out-scored the Lady Raiders 6-3 to earn the victory. The visitors had raced out to a 2-1 lead before Shippensburg fought back to win the fourth set.

Defensively, senior Karey Toms led Shippensburg with 18 digs, while senior libero Kelsi Hoffman added 17 digs. Senior setter Maureen DuVall posted a season-high 47 assists.

On Friday, Shippensburg will travel to Edinboro to compete in the PSAC Crossover tournament. The Lady Raiders will take on Clarion and Edinboro on Friday.
