SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg men's soccer team opened conference play by out-shooting Kutztown 15-14 but the group was unable to connect for a decisive goal, as the Red Raiders fell 1-0 to the Golden Bears on Wednesday night at David See Field.

Kutztown (1-2, 1-0 PSAC East) recorded the only goal of the game in the 29th minute, when a pass from James Robinson found the foot of Rusty Chapel, who finished a breakaway by sending a ball past a diving Patke and into the net that gave Kutztown the ultimate margin of victory.
The Red Raiders will travel to Bloomsburg this Saturday for a 3 p.m. matchup with the Huskies.
