Haas' Two Goals Lead Lady Raiders Past Millersville, 2-1

MILLERSVILLE, Pa.-   
The Shippensburg Field Hockey team won their third consecutive game defeating Millersville 2-1 on Thursday afternoon. Dani Haas scored two goals and Amanda Houser made four saves as Shippensburg (6-1, 1-1 PSAC) was tested for the second game in a row after their 3-0 victory over Philadelphia.

The teams played a scoreless first half despite the Lady Raiders outshooting Millersville 12-4. Haas would break the tie early in the second half as she knocked home a penalty stroke. Millersville would tie the game once again just seven minutes later.

With just over five minutes left in regulation Haas scored her second goal of the game when she knocked in a penalty corner from Mariah Wooters. Haas now has three goals on the season.

The Lady Raiders outshot Millersville 21-4 and held a 16-4 advantage in penalty corners for the game.

Shippensburg returns to action this Saturday at 12 PM at Robb Sports Complex when they will host Bloomsburg.
