Shippensburg records four shots; Patke makes four saves

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Shippensburg men's soccer team struggled against its second nationally ranked opponent of the season, recording just four shots in a 4-0 road loss against the No. 21-ranked Millersville Marauders. Red-shirt senior goalkeeper Brad Patke recorded four saves while Millersville improved to 5-0.

Shippensburg (0-3-2, 0-3-1 PSAC East) fired two shots on goal in the contest, one each from sophomores Scott Smith and Miles Peek, but Marauder goalkeeper Matt Langione was up to the task and made saves on both shots to keep the Red Raiders off the board.

Millersville (5-0, 2-0 PSAC East) is off to its best start in school history and has scored 15 goals through five games this season. The Marauders out-shot Shippensburg by an 18-4 margin.

Shippensburg will travel to Washington D.C. on Wednesday night for a matchup with UDC. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
