SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg volleyball team bumped its winning streak up to four games with an impressive home opening sweep of the visiting Shepherd Rams on Wednesday night inside Heiges Field House. Game scores were 25-21, 25-19 and 25-9. Junior Hannah Sorber led the Lady Raider attack with eight kills.

Shippensburg (6-5) improved its play as the game went on while several players delivered solid performances. In addition to Sorber's eight kills on just one error, junior Colleen Toomey delivered seven kills and five digs while freshman Katie Leitner hammered six kills with just one error.

Senior Maureen DuVall continued her excellent season with five kills, 30 assists, a game-high two service aces, one block solo and three block assists. Junior Kali Antolik ripped four kills, while senior libero Kelsi Hoffman delivered four digs and one service ace.

The Lady Raiders will take the momentum into the weekend when Shippensburg travels to Lock Haven to compete in the Bob Chu Invitational. On Friday night, the Lady Raiders will take on Wilmington for the second time this season before Saturday matches with C.W. Post and Ohio Valley.
