Game 1
Game 2
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg University baseball senior
Brandon Geib and sophomore
Phil Harnick each picked up their first career victories as Red Raiders on Monday as the team swept a doubleheader at Bloomsburg Monday, 5-0 and 12-5.
The doubleheader, which was rescheduled from Sunday, March 16, marked the beginning a seven-game stretch in six days for Shippensburg (15-11) who received one vote in today's American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division II Poll.
By the end of the day on Saturday, the Red Raiders will have played 11 games over a nine-day period, including last weekend's four-game series with Mansfield.
In game one on Monday, Geib picked up his first victory in two seasons at Shippensburg by tossing seven shutout innings while surrendering just four hits and striking out four. He retired 21 of the 27 batters he faced, allowing just seven to reach base, including one by error. Of those seven, only five moved into scoring position.
Offensively for the Red Raiders, senior
Justin Garber went 2-for-2 with two runs scored before being replaced in center field by junior
Tim Freshour in the sixth. After entering as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the sixth, Freshour drove in the final run of the game with an RBI-double that scored senior
Eric Dezell.
All seven of Shippensburg's hits in the first game came from the first four spots in the order as those five players went a combined 7-for-12 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Junior
Tyler Redick went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while sophomore

In game two, the Red Raiders totaled 10 or more runs for the ninth time this season in winning its sixth game out of the last eight. They scored 12 runs on just 11 hits, taking advantage of five Husky errors that led to eight unearned runs.
In two games on Monday, Bloomsburg (5-17) committed eight errors and in four games against Shippensburg this season, the Huskies have totaled 11. In those four games, the Red Raiders have outscored Bloomsburg 31-5 and held the Huskies scoreless in 25 out of 28 innings.
Shippensburg led 6-2 after three innings with five of those runs being unearned, including all four in the third inning, two of which came on a two-run double by Dezell.
In the first, junior
Kasey Kuhns tripled to score freshman Kevin Miller with two outs and give the Red Raiders a 1-0 lead after one.
The first inning has proven to be Shippensburg's most productive as the team has totaled more runs, 35, in the first inning than in other inning this season. In 26 games, the Red Raiders have scored at least one first inning run in 13 of them, exactly one-half.
With two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, the Huskies cut Shippensburg's lead to three, 8-5, but the Red Raiders answered with three in the top of the sixth, two of which came on a two-run single by freshman

Six of the 10 batters for Shippensburg had at least one RBI, highlighted by two each from McCardell and Dezell. Sophomore
