LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Three Red Raiders posted double figures in scoring, including 22 from senior guard Alex Jones and a career-high 17 points from freshman guard Justin Minter, but the Shippensburg University men's basketball team dropped an 81-74 decision at Lock Haven Wednesday evening inside Thomas Fieldhouse.

Shippensburg (6-17, 0-8 PSAC West) also received 15 points from red-shirt sophomore center Derrick Graff and shot 49.1 percent from the field for the game, but allowed the home-standing Bald Eagles to shoot 50.9 percent and achieve their highest point total since the two teams met to open PSAC West play back on January 16.

Lock Haven (2-20, 2-6 PSAC West) shot a blistering 50-percent from the field in the first half, including 12 points from junior Billy Arre to lead 35-32 at the half. The difference in the game was their blistering percentage from 3-point range, where the Bald Eagles made 12-of-19 attempts from behind the line.

The Red Raiders responded with a 9-2 run to start the second half, highlighted by five points from Minter. The Bald Eagles, however, responded with a 12-0 run to take a nine-point lead, 50-41, with 10:17 to play.

Lock Haven maintained the lead throughout the final 10 minutes and led by as many as 14 points before the final whistle sounded.

Sophomore guard Brian Oleksiak led the team in rebounds with seven to go along with seven points, while red-shirt junior guard Ryan Kraft delivered five points and six rebounds.

For the Bald Eagles, Kelvin McLean made 5-of-6 attempts from behind the three-point line to deliver 17 points, while Eli Hanna matched his production while shooting 5-of-9 from behind the arc.

Shippensburg finally returns home after 24 days away from Heiges Field House for a match-up against Clarion on Saturday. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
