EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg men's basketball team had four players score in double figures but fell victim to a hot-shooting opponent in a 78-68 loss to Queens (N.Y.) College on Saturday afternoon from Koehler Fieldhouse in the 44th annual East Stroudsburg Classic.

Shippensburg (5-1) fell behind late in the first half and trailed 30-28 at intermission. The Raiders were unable to re-take the lead over the final 20 minutes, as a late comeback effort in the final minutes fell short.

Red-shirt junior center Derrick Graff, Shippensburg's top post player and the Raider representative on the all-tournament team, was whistled for three fouls in a 68-second span early in the second half that kept him on the bench and allowed the Knights to take control.

Queens (2-4) led by three points with 12:02 to play in regulation and reeled off an 8-0 run to extend its lead to 11 points at the 8:48 mark. The lead would reach 15 points with 4:32 to play, as the Knights shot 44 percent from the field and hit four 3-pointers in the second half.

For Shippensburg, red-shirt senior guard Ryan Kraft had 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals, while junior point guard Stephon Draper led Shippensburg with 12 points and four assists.

Off the bench, red-shirt freshman Lamar Drayton scored in double figures for the second straight game with 10 points to go along with two blocks. Freshman guard Craig Van Scyoc had seven points and seven rebounds while sophomore guard Jaren Gembe chipped in eight points.

Graff finished with 10 points and four rebounds but fouled out of the game with 5:34 to play. Khaleef Allicott came off the bench for Queens to lead all scorers with 19 points, hitting 8-of-12 from the field.

Shippensburg will be out of action for the next two weeks with final exams, returning to the court on Saturday, December 20 in a road contest at Lock Haven that will tip at 3 p.m. The Raiders defeated the Bald Eagles in the season opener from Heiges Field House, 63-45.
