SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University volleyball team will make its second consecutive appearance in the PSAC Volleyball Championships on Tuesday when the Lady Raiders travel to West Chester to take on the Golden Rams in a quarterfinal matchup at 7 p.m. from Hollinger Field House.

Shippensburg (21-15) finished as the No. 3 seed in the PSAC Eastern Division with an 8-4 divisional record and will take on West Chester, the No. 2 seed who finished with a 9-3 mark in divisional play. This is the third season in five years under coach Leanne Piscotty that the Lady Raiders have advanced to the postseason.

There are no complimentary tickets for Tuesday's match. Admission is $7 for adults and $2 for children. Students from PSAC institutions with a valid school ID receive free admission.

Unlike previous seasons, this year's PSAC Volleyball Championship features eight teams - requiring the addition of the quarterfinal game at the site of the higher seed. Previously, the top three teams from each division qualified for the playoffs and the entire tournament was played at one host site.

The Lady Raiders will be seeking their first PSAC tournament victory since 2004, when the Lady Raiders defeated East Stroudsburg in five sets to advance to the championship game. If Shippensburg were to advance, they would likely travel to California (Pa.) for the PSAC Semifinals. The Vulcans are the No. 1 seed in the Western Division. The full playoff scenario is available here.
