SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Senior
Austin Alfonsi scored on Senior Day this Wednesday afternoon at David See Field, but the Red Raiders could not hold a one-goal lead and dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Seton Hill in the final home game of the season.
Shippensburg (1-13-3) remained even in shots with Seton Hill (9-9-2), but could only come up with the first goal of the game. In the 29th minute, sophomore
Scott Smith sent a beautiful, dipping cross into the box that Alfonsi headed into the cage to give the Red Raiders a lead.
Just five minutes later, Doug Schmitt ripped a volley into the top portion of the cage to tie the score at 1-1. The Griffins took the lead just over three minutes later when Mike Pistentis finished a loose ball in the box.

Brad Patke made four saves in the loss, extending his conference-leading total to 107 through 17 games.
