Jake Reichert is in his first year as a graduate assistant in the SU Sports Information office in 2026-27.
Reichert arrives at Shippensburg after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, where he held multiple important positions as a student.
For three years, Reichert was a social media ambassador for the College of Communications and Informational Sciences at Alabama. Reichert was responsible for creating social media content while studying industry trends and cultivating engagement strategies.
As a senior, Reichert hosted and produced an Instagram reel series called “Tiny Mic Tuesday.” One of the reels went viral and received more than 13 million views. Reichert received the college’s Leadership Award for College Pride and Spirit in April 2026.
In addition to his work with the College of Communications and Informational Sciences, Reichert was a resident advisor. In this role, Reichert worked to create a positive environment and develop community among first-year resident students at Alabama while providing mentorship and conflict resolution.
During his senior year at Alabama, Reichert spent five months as an internal public relations intern with Emberbox – helping to market a personal fitness tool designed by members of the U.S. Secret Service. In March 2025, Reichert interned during spring training with the Chicago White Sox.
As an undergraduate student, Reichert was active in many areas across campus – serving as the vice president of communications for UA’s chapter of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and the treasurer for UA’s chapter of the National Sports Media Association.
Reichert earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude in May 2026. He graduated with a minor in communication studies.
A native of Strasburg and an alumnus of Lampeter-Strasburg High School, Reichert is studying toward a master’s degree in Organizational Development, and Leadership, concentrating in individualized leadership skills.
