Gaz Davies is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Raider men’s soccer program in 2025.
Davies has extensive coaching experience at both the high school and club levels, most recently serving as the director of Ballyhoo Sports Academy in York (2020-present) and director of soccer for FC Ballyhoo Soccer Club (2017-present).
He served as the head coach at Northern York High School from 2016-2020. As the skipper of the Polar Bears, Davies guided the squad to the PIAA AAA State Final in 2020, as well a District III title (2020) and pair of Mid Penn Conference championships (2019, 2020).
He was named the Mid Penn Conference’s Coach of the Year in in 2019 and 2020.
During his time coaching youth soccer, Davies has won three Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) state championships, first as the head coach of the Dillsburg Dragons (2012, 2013) and again as the skipper of FC York Soccer Club 03 Boys (2014).
A native of Prestatyn, Wales, Davies played semi-professionally for British league clubs Rhyl FC, Prestatyn Town and Sheffield Hallam FC. He studied and played collegiate soccer at Sheffield Hallam University, and spent time coaching in the English and Welsh Football Associations.
He currently resides in Dillsburg with his wife, Jessie. He is the father of four children: Ashton, Maddox, Rhys and Charlie.
