Andrew Miller is in his third year as Shippensburg University's assistant sports information director & digital media management specialist in 2024-25.

In this position, Miller primarily serves the sports information office -- functioning as the primary contact for multiple sports including football, soccer, wrestling and baseball and as a secondary contact for all of the remaining SU intercollegiate athletic teams. Miller assists the sports information office through game-day coverage, in-game statistics, social media, printed programs, press releases, records maintenance, and media relations. He also is the primary photographer for the athletic department, serving as the lead for both in-game action photography and team and roster photos, while also having oversight of multiple student photographers who assist in all areas.

As the university's digital media management specialist, Miller is responsible for the maintenance and management of digital assets including video, graphics and still photography – functioning as Shippensburg University’s primary photographer. He is a mainstay at university events, documenting life on campus. His photography is prevalent throughout the university's website, official publications, and social media content. He is also responsible for portrait photographs of all university faculty and staff.

Miller joined the Shippensburg University communications & marketing office in September 2022 after spending nine years covering sports in the local community as the sports writer and editor for the Shippensburg News-Chronicle and Newville Valley Times Star newspapers. He was responsible for the twice-weekly sports pages in both newspapers, regularly covering high school and university sports while also providing additional coverage outside of sports. In addition to writing and editing, Miller regularly handled photography duties, coordinated social media efforts for the sports section, and uploaded content to the newspaper’s website. He was also responsible for editing and adapting the work of stringers and freelancers.

Prior to his arrival at Shippensburg, Miller was a 14-year veteran of the newspaper industry, having worked five years as a reporter and freelancer for the Berks-Mont News and Pottstown Mercury before landing at the News-Chronicle.

Miller earned his undergraduate degree in professional writing from Kutztown University in 2007 and is an alumnus of Boyertown Area Senior High School.
