Tristan Warner is in his third season with the Shippensburg University wrestling coaching staff in 2020-21, and is serving as a volunteer assistant.  
 
Warner arrived at Shippensburg in 2018 after completing a graduate assistantship at his alma mater, Old Dominion. As a sports management student, Warner assisted the office of athletic communications in several sports, including wrestling and golf.
 
On the mat, Warner compiled a 93-53 career record. He was a two-time NCAA Elite 89 award winner for possessing the highest GPA of any competitor at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. Nineteen of his career victories came against NCAA Division I Championships qualifiers.
 
As a senior, Warner finished second at the MAC Championships and was seeded 11th at the NCAA Championships. He posted a 29-5 overall record, including a perfect 17-0 record in dual meets. His regular season included a team-leading with a team leading 66 points earned and featured six major decisions, four falls and three technical falls.
 
Overall, Warner was a three-time NCAA Division I Championships qualifier, competing in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
 
His prep career included a state runner-up finish at 171 pounds as a senior at Cumberland Valley High School under head coach Dave Heckard. Warner won the Super 32 Challenge and finished second in the prestigious Beast of the East Tournament. He finished high school with a 136-33 career record.
 
Warner is a native of Mechanicsburg, Pa.
