Cody Myers enters his first season as an assistant wrestling coach at his alma mater after spending the previous four seasons as a standout Raider wrestler.
Myers went 37-18 in his career, including an impressive 30-8 record in dual meets, to go along with 12 career pins. Myers was a two-time place-winner at the Super Region 1 Championships with a 6-4 record in two appearances, finishing fourth at 133 pounds as a junior in 2012 and fifth at 141 pounds as a senior in 2013.
His fourth-place finish earned him a trip to the 2012 NCAA Championships to cap off a season in which he went 19-8 with a 16-2 mark in dual meets and tied for the team lead with seven pins.
In high school, Myers totaled a 130-19 career record with 54 falls at Southern Huntingdon County High School. He was a two-time PIAA ‘AA” State Championships runner-up with the Rockets.
A native of Three Springs, Myers is working toward a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Cody’s younger brother, Dison, is a freshman 141-pounder on the team.
