Casey Hedash will serve as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014-15 season while working as a graduate assistant for club sports in the SU Department of Recreation.
Hedash wrestled collegiately at three institutions: Army, Bloomsburg and Shippensburg. With the Raiders in 2013-14, Hedash competed 15 times between 184 and 197 pounds – representing SU at the 2014 NCAA Super Region One Championships as its 184-pound entry.
At Northern Lehigh High School, Hedash was a two-time PIAA state wrestling qualifier who placed fifth in the state as a senior. He was also an all-league selection in football and baseball who entered the United States Military Academy Preparatory School in 2008 following his graduation.
A native of Slatington, Hedash is studying toward a master’s degree in communications studies. He graduated in December 2014 with a bachelor of arts in political science.
