Jordyn Kendig is serving as a graduate intern with the Office of Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes in 2025-26. Kendig is in her second year of graduate school at Shippensburg; she is pursuing a master’s degree in mental health counseling.

Kendig earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Shippensburg in May 2024. She earned a minor in sociology. As a senior, Kendig was a mental health intern with Laurel Life, a company based in Chambersburg. Kendig participated in client sessions and attended training sessions as a part of her experience.

For the last two years, Kendig has been a youth development leader with the Shippensburg chapter of the Boys & Girls Club. Her involvement has included significant planning and coordination of age-appropriate programming for local youth.
During her time as an undergraduate at Shippensburg, Kendig was a four-year member of the women’s swimming team. She was a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) place-winner, scoring in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle as a freshman.

Kendig is a native of Conestoga and a graduate of Penn Manor High School, where she was a scholar athlete who graduated with honors.
