As a member of the athletic department, Bonner has also handled gameday management roles at certain home contests, including baseball and softball.
Bonner arrived at Shippensburg after serving a variety of roles at his alma mater Ohio, including as a graduate assistant equipment manager. With the Bobcats, Bonner maintained inventory and equipment orders for eight Division I teams and managed student staff in day-to-day operations.
During his time at Ohio, Bonner also served as a facilities intern, assisting with game operations, scoreboards, maintenance and finances. For his practicum work, Bonner facilitated setup and teardown of football tailgating areas and managed a 40-person staff on gamedays. He served as a primary liaison between facilities, grounds, EMS, police and campus security.
Bonner also worked for four years as an event manager for Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) regional and district tournament contests.
A native of Greenville, Bonner graduated from Ohio in 2017 with a degree in sport management and a minor in business administration. He earned his master’s degree from Ohio in 2019 in recreation studies, specializing in recreation management.
