Biography
2020 Indoor: Redshirt season.
2019 Cross Country: Competed in all six races for the Raiders in her second full season…served as a scoring runner for the Raiders in two races…was the team’s No. 4 runner at the Paul Short Run and at the Lock Haven Invitational…represented the Raiders as the No. 6 runner at the PSAC Championships and the No. 7 runner at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships…achieved a 6K season best at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships.
2019 Outdoor: Competed in a variety of mid-distance and distance events during her debut outdoor season…ran season bests in the 800 and 1,500 meters at the Millersville Metrics, in the 5K at the SU Midweek Invitational and in the 10K at the Paul Classic…participated in three meets.
2019 Indoor: Represented the Raiders in the 5K at Susquehanna in her lone competition of the season.
2018 Cross Country: Ran in six races for the Raiders in her debut season…posted a Top-20 finish as the team’s No. 3 runner at the Dickinson Long Invitational…represented the Raiders at the PSAC Championships…achieved a 6K season best with a time of 24:49 in open competition at the Paul Short Run…served as the team’s No. 6 runner at Gettysburg.
2018 Outdoor: Redshirt season.
2018 Indoor: Represented the Raiders in the 3K at the Bucknell Tune-Up in her lone competition of the season.
2017 Cross Country: Redshirt season.
Chambersburg Area High School: Earned four varsity letters competing for the Trojans under coach Christopher Monheim…was a medalist at the 2016 Mid-Penn Cross Country Championships…established PRs of 5:30 at 1,600 meters and 11:51 at 3,200 meters…also earned two varsity letters in basketball.
Personal: Full name is Olivia Kate Sommers…is the daughter of Bill and Jeannie Sommers...majoring in management, concentrating in international management, while seeking minors in both Spanish and sustainability…has two siblings, Max ’19 and Bianca.
