2009-10 (Junior): Qualified for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships in the 400 meters with another stellar season of competition…set the indoor meet record in winning the 400-meter title at the PSAC Championships…finished second in the 400 meters at the PSAC outdoor meet…posted a career-best time at the NCAA outdoor meet that improved her own school record in the 400…came within three places of achieving All-American status at the NCAA indoor meet…posted top-five finishes in the 200 at both the PSAC indoor and outdoor meet…contributed to NCAA provisional marks for the indoor and outdoor 4x400-meter relay squads…both relays finished second at the PSAC meet.

2008-09 (Sophomore): Achieved All-American honors for the second straight year during the outdoor season in the 4x400-meter relay…qualified for outdoor nationals in the 400-meter dash for the second straight year…improved upon her outdoor school record in the 400-meter dash with a PSAC title, her third out of four times running the event in two years…finished as an All-PSAC performer in four of her six events between the indoor and outdoor seasons…set a new school record for the indoor 4x400-meter relay.

2007-08 (Freshman): Won PSAC titles in the 400-meter dash during both the indoor and outdoor season in her debut season with the team…earned national All-American honors during the outdoor season with the 4x400-meter relay, setting a new school record…also won a PSAC indoor title with the 4x400-meter relay team…placed six times overall at the conference meet…competed at the outdoor national championships in the 400-meter dash…finished as a provisional qualifier in the same event during the indoor season.

Selinsgrove High School: Earned four letters for the Seals under the direction of coach Tommy Thompson.

Personal: Full name is Erica Lee Hess…is the daughter of Russ and Vickie Hess…majoring in biology/pre-optometry…has three brothers: Nick, Troy and Matt, who all attended Shippensburg…Troy played football at Shippensburg.
