2012-13 (Sophomore): Competed in the long jump during her second season with the Raiders…qualified for the PSAC Outdoor Championships, where she placed 10th, and the PSAC Indoor Championships, where she placed 16th…achieved an indoor season best at the Bucknell Winter Classic and an outdoor season best at the Paul Kaiser Classic.
2011-12 (Freshman): Debuted as a multis competitor before transitioning solely to jumps during her debut season…completed the pentathlon at the Lehigh Season Opener…landed a season PR in the long jump at Lehigh to qualify for the conference meet…competed in the long jump at the PSAC indoor and outdoor championships…narrowly missed a PSAC place-winning performance indoors, finishing ninth…also ran the 100 and 200 meters outdoors.
Jim Thorpe High School: Totaled five varsity letters with the Big Hercs under coach Frank Miller...set a school record and was a state qualifier in the 200 meters…was a three-time PIAA state qualifier with her school’s record-setting 4x100-meter relay squad…also set a school record with the 4x400-meter relay…named a three-time team MVP in track and a field and once with cross country…also competed in cross country and volleyball.
Personal: Full name is Ashley Sophia Nicola…is the daughter of Victoria Nicola…majoring in psychology…has three siblings, Dominick, Rachel and Genevieve.
