Lindsey Tennis was hired on Jan. 8, 2018 and is now in her second season as the head women’s tennis coach at Shippensburg University.
Tennis arrived at Shippensburg to complete the Spring 2018 season for the Raiders following the resignation of Emily Maerz. The 2018-19 campaign marks Tennis’s first full season at SU.
Prior to Shippensburg, Tennis served as the assistant tennis coach at Bryn Mawr College for the 2016-17 season. She has also served as a youth instructor and as a professional tennis and racquetball coordinator for Philadelphia Sports Clubs.
She is certified in both adult and 10-and-Under instruction through the Professional Tennis Registry.
As a collegiate athlete at Bloomsburg University, Tennis earned All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team honors as a junior singles player in 2015. She was a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete who achieved 24 singles and 20 doubles victories for the Huskies in her career.
As a prep athlete, Tennis earned All-Suburban One League honors while at Quakertown Area Senior High School.
A native of Quakertown, Tennis graduated from Bloomsburg in 2016 with a bachelor of arts in biological anthropology and a minor in ethnic studies.
