Biography
2009-10 (Junior): Progressed as a freestyle swimmer for Shippensburg in her third season with the team…contributed to the 200-yard freestyle relay squad that finished eighth at the PSAC Championships…specialized in sprint events…ranked third among SU competitors in the 50-yard freestyle with a strong performance at the Zippy Invitational…also swam individual medley flights.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Served as a member of the team’s 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays during dual meets with West Chester, IUP and Kutztown…also competed in the 50-yard backstroke, 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
2007-08 (Freshman): Emerged as a steady competitor for the Lady Raiders in freestyle events…finished season with the fourth-best team time in the 50-yard freestyle with a finish in 25.42 seconds at the Patriot Invitational…also recorded sixth-best team time in the 100-yard freestyle after a 56.44 finish at the Zippy Invitational…made an impact in backstroke events, taking the third-best team time in both the 50-yard (31.40 seconds) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.49) events.
Personal: Full name is Sarah Ann Bratman…is the daughter of Mark and Nellie Bratman…majoring in elementary education with a focus on early childhood.
