2023-24 (Junior): Scored in two individual events and one relay event for the Raiders at the PSAC Championships… competed in the consolation finals for the 200-yard breaststroke and the 400-yard IM, placing 16th and 12th respectively… swam personal bests in both events, recording a 2:29.38 for the 200 breast during prelims, and a 4:44.59 for the 400 IM during finals… also competed in the 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard IM, swimming a season best in the 200 IM in 2:16.17… was a part of the Raiders’ 200-yard freestyle relay… swam a personal bests in the 50 free (25.15), the 100-yard freestyle (54.85), and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.98) at the Gettysburg Invitational… ranked in the top five in six events among Raiders; the 50 free, 100 free, 200 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM.
2022-23 (Sophomore): Scored points for the Raiders at the PSAC Championships in an individual event and a relay… swam in the bonus final of the 400-yard IM, finishing 21st with a time of 4:51.60…also represented the Raiders in the 100-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 200-yard IM…swam the opening leg of the Raiders tenth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay…was the top Raider in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a 54.97…finished in the top five in five different events among Raiders.
2021-22 (Freshman): Debuted as a scoring performer for the Raiders…placed 19th in the 200-yard breaststroke in the PSAC Swimming Championships… contributed to the Raiders’ PSAC place-winning 200-yard medley relay…also represented the Raiders in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM at the conference meet.
Greater Latrobe High School: Totaled four varsity letters for the Wildcats under head coach Grey Arrigone…was a Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) qualifier in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley while swimming with her school's 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay…qualified for the WPIALs in each of her four seasons…was a member of the high honor roll…also earned varsity letters in volleyball and track & field.
About Wetzel: Full name is Gracie Nichole Wetzel…is the daughter of Brad and Jennifer Wetzel…majoring in early childhood education…has two sisters, Shelby and Sadie, and a brother, John.
