Biography
2009-10 (Junior): Maintained her status as a steady freestyle swimmer and integral team leader during her third year with the team…improved her personal bests in the 50 and 200-yard freestyle events…ranked among the team’s top four competitors in both of the short sprint events…also swam backstroke events.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Continued to serve as a valuable freestyle swimmer for Shippensburg in her second year with the team and was a leader both in the pool and outside the natatorium…posted the team’s fourth-best overall time in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.40) and the team’s fifth-best overall time in the 500-yard freestyle (5:38.45).
2007-08 (Freshman): Broke through as a solid team contributor…held the fifth-best team time in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.47 at the Zippy Invitational…swam the 100-yard freestyle at Akron in a time of 54.95, good enough for fourth-best team time…also recorded the fourth-best team time in the 200-yard freestyle with a swim in 2:00.87 at the Zippy Invitational.
Personal: Full name is Anna Marie Kinard…is the daughter of Kent and Carla Kinard…majoring in elementary education while seeking a minor in Spanish…serves as the president of Shippensburg’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the second consecutive year.
