Kelliann McWhorter is in her second season as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Shippensburg University in 2019.
McWhorter arrived at Shippensburg in 2018 after graduating from Salisbury University with a degree in earth science and geoenvironmental science along with a minor in environmental studies.
As a collegiate athlete, McWhorter competed at both the College of Charleston and at Salisbury – working primarily as a forward or attacking central midfielder. At Salisbury, McWhorter also competed in equestrian and was active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Scuba Club and Outdoors Club.
McWhorter has participated with PDA Soccer Club and assisted with USA Youth soccer clinics. She also spent five years as a referee with Somerset Hills Soccer Club. At SU, McWhorter will assist head coach Rob Fulton with all aspects of the women’s soccer team including practice plans, skills instruction and video breakdown.
Outside of soccer, McWhorter has worked at Basking Ridge Animal Hospital. She is also skilled as a veterinarian technical assistant.
A native of Lavallette, N.J., McWhorter is studying toward a master’s degree in geoenvironmental studies at Shippensburg.
