Jessica Griggs returns for her fourth season with the Shippensburg women’s soccer coaching. She has been a prolific regional soccer instructor after graduating in 2007 from Dickinson College with a degree in Spanish.
Griggs holds a USSF coaching license and has earned her NSCAA national diploma.
As a student-athlete, Griggs was a four-year starter and four-year All-Centennial Conference selection at forward for the Red Devils from 2003-06, totaling 34 goals and 88 points for her career. Those marks rank her among the Top 20 all-time in the Centennial Conference.
Competing as a junior in 2005, Griggs helped Dickinson to a 16-3-3 season that included an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. She led the Centennial Conference by scoring seven goals in conference matches that season.
Her prep career included four seasons at the Newark Academy where she was a four-year starter, team captain and all-conference selection.
Griggs is a founder and director of the FC Sarum soccer clinics through which she develops and educates young soccer players aged 4-13. She has also been a Mechanicsburg Area youth soccer coach since 2008. Griggs lives in Camp Hill.
