Biography
2024 (Sophomore): Enjoyed a breakout season as a first-choice winger…appeared in 16 total matches, making 15 starts…recorded a goal and an assist…totaled 24 shots (third-most on team)…scored the Raiders’ second goal in a 2-2 draw against then-unbeaten Kutztown (Sept. 21)…registered a season-best two shots on goal in a victory at Mansfield (Sept 28.)…provided the assist on SU’s second goal in a 2-2 draw against East Stroudsburg (Nov. 2)…was a major factor in the Raiders finishing with a 5-6-5 record in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), its second most points (20) in conference play since the 2016 season.
2023 (Freshman): Provided hard work and pace as a reserve winger during her debut season…saw action in 16 matches…recorded a shot on goal against Mansfield (Sept. 23).
Delaware Military Academy: Earned four varsity letters for the Seahawks under coaches Brittany Quynn and Lindsay Russell...competed at club level for Sporting Delaware under coach Adam Zarr...finished as a three-time All-State performer in Delaware, including All-State Division II First Team and Top XI honors as a senior in addition to Second Team honors as a sophomore and junior…was a three-time All-Conference First Team player…totaled 46 goals and 22 assists spanning her three final varsity seasons, including 16 goals and seven assists as a senior...scored 15 or more goals in each of her final three varsity seasons…achieved six additional varsity letters from cross country and track & field...served as the president of her school’s chapter of the National Honor Society with a 4.3 GPA...was on the Distinguished Honor Roll and was a Presidential Award recipient.
About Hughes: Full name is Ashley Hughes... is the daughter of Lisa and Brian Hughes...majoring in biology with a pre-dentistry concentration…has a sister Hayley, and two brothers, Nathan and Brayden.
