Biography
2024 (Junior): Established herself as a jey member of the Raider defense…one of just six players to start all 17 games…totaled 19 groundballs and six caused turnovers…picked up multiple groundballs in six contests…recorded two groundballs and a season best two caused turnovers in a win at Shepherd (Apr. 24)…named to 2024 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll.
2023 (Sophomore): Made 15 starts in 17 appearances... picked up 13 groundballs and collected at least two against Kutztown, Millersville, and IUP … recorded five caused turnovers.
2022 (Freshman): Made two starts and 10 appearances in her debut season…recorded five groundballs and three caused turnovers, including career highs of three groundballs and two caused turnovers at East Stroudsburg.
Garnet Valley High School: Played at the varsity level for the Jaguars as a defender…competed at the club level for Belles Lacrosse.
About Picone: Full name is Francesca Isabella Picone…is the daughter of Angelo and Vera Picone…majoring in early childhood education…has two brothers, Angelo and Domenic…brother Domenic plays baseball the University of Rhode Island.
