Nicole Hinkle is in her third season as an assistant coach with the SU women’s lacrosse team in 2021.
As a collegiate athlete, Hinkle competed at Wingate — working primarily as a goalie and defender. In her first three seasons, Hinkle was a goalkeeper for the Bulldogs and twice received SAC Defensive Player of the Week awards during her freshman season.
In her senior season, Hinkle became a starting defender and earned All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Honorable Mention and a Coaches Award. She appeared in 18 games, and ranked third on the team with 35 groundballs and 12 caused turnovers.
For three years, Hinkle was a coach with NEMS Lacrosse Club in Bel Air, Md., where she specialized in working with goaltenders. Hinkle has also competed at the club level in the past with Skywalkers.
Hinkle is also experienced in professional lacrosse gameday operations, having worked for the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse.
Outside of lacrosse, Hinkle has worked in guest relations at Martinsville Motor Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia. She also worked at the Putnam Hill Nursery in Forest Hill, Maryland.
Hinkle is a native of Fallston, Maryland. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management from Wingate in 2018.
