Former Raider lacrosse and field hockey standout Liz McDonnell (DiNunno) is in her second season as an assistant coach at her alma mater.
 
DiNunno played for the Raiders from 2007-2010, starting all but one of the team’s 68 games over her four-year career. DiNunno totaled 51 goals, 30 assists and 81 points as well as 95 groundball pickups, 87 draw controls and 34 caused turnovers.
 
A 2011 Shippensburg graduate with a social work degree, DiNunno thrived as an offensive-minded midfielder and was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team squad after her junior season in 2009 when she totaled 18 goals and 10 assists for 28 points. Her best statistical season came as a sophomore in 2008 when she scored 20 goals and added 12 assists for 32 points to go along with 29 groundball pickups and 25 draw controls.
 
DiNunno also played field hockey her first three seasons at Shippensburg and started 25 of the 57 games in which she played. A defender, DiNunno totaled two assists and took 16 shots.
 
A student in the Master’s degree social work program at Shippensburg, DiNunno is a native of Bel Air, Md., and is a graduate of Fallston High School.
