Krista Mann-Theys joins the coaching staff this season as the primary assistant to head coach Ashley Manion. Mann also serves as an adjunct professor in the English department at Shippensburg University.
Mann was the Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and an IWLCA/US Lacrosse Regional All-American in 2006 with Duquesne (Division I), ranking third in the country in caused turnovers and 17th in draw controls. She was a four-time All-Atlantic 10 First Team defender with the Dukes, who twice won regular season conference championships during her playing career.
In 67 career games (all starts), Mann had 160 draw controls, tallied 159 groundball pickups and recorded 124 caused turnovers along the back lines. She also chipped in with 21 goals and four assists during her career.
A two-year tri-captain, Mann was a two-time Academic A-10 and IWLCA Honor Roll selection with the Dukes. She graduated from Duquesne in 2006, double-majoring in English and communications. Mann later earned a master’s degree in creative writing from Northern Michigan in 2011.
