Brooke Sabol is in her first season as the head coach of the SU women’s lacrosse team in 2022.

Sabol arrives at Shippensburg after spending the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall. With the Diplomats, Sabol's coaching emphases were with the defense and draws. F&M posted a 46-11 record over the last four seasons, including a 2021 Centennial Conference Championship, three NCAA Tournament appearances and two trips to the NCAA Elite Eight.
 
Her coaching career began in 2017 as an assistant at York College, where she worked on a staff that directed the Spartans to their most successful season in program history: 16 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight.
 
Sabol is a 2016 graduate of Wheaton College, where she majored in psychology. She played in 75 games over the course of her four years with the Lyons – fourth-most in school history. Her 144 career goals rank sixth in school history, while her 75 career assists rank fourth. Likewise, her 144 career draw controls rank fourth in school history and her 203 career points rank fifth at Wheaton.  
 
As a Lyon, Sabol was a three-time All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) honoree, earning First Team honors as a senior and Second Team honors as a sophomore and junior. In her sophomore season, Wheaton won the NEWMAC Championship and Sabol was named NEWMAC Championships MVP. She also earned All-Berkshire Region honors as a senior.
 
Sabol is a native of Landgrove, Vermont and was a three-sport athlete at Burr and Burton Academy, where she played ice hockey and soccer in addition to lacrosse. She was a member of state championship ice hockey teams in 2009 and 2012 and a member of the state championship lacrosse team in 2010.
