* Heather is a junior athletically and a senior academically. She redshirted outdoors in 2011-12.
2012-13 (R-Sophomore): Competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships during her second full track season with the Raiders…contributed to a PSAC Championship with the distance medley relay and represented the Raiders at the indoor national championships in the same event...achieved her first indoor individual place-winning performance with a seventh-place finish in the mile at the PSAC Championships…placed seventh outdoors with the team’s 4x800-meter relay at the PSAC Championships…was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the 3K and a PSAC outdoor qualifier at 1,500 meters…set new indoor personal bests in the mile at Bucknell and in the 3K at the Armory…served as the No. 4 runner for the cross country team at the PSAC Championships, earning All-PSAC honors (20th place), and as the No. 5 runner at the Atlantic Region and NCAA Championships.
2011-12 (R-Freshman): Placed fourth in the 1,500 meters at the PSAC outdoor championships during her first season of competition with the Raiders…performed well in mid-distance events…was a PSAC indoor qualifier in the mile and the 3K…also debuted in cross country and established a 6K PR at the conference championships.
2010-11 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
Tulpehocken High School: Totaled seven letters for the Trojans under coach Rusty Keith…won the mile twice at county championships and was the fastest freshman miler in the state…was a four-time district medalist and two-time state medalist in the mile/1,600…in cross country, she was a three-time county champion, three-time district medalist and three-time state medalist, with her highest finish being 16th place...success resulted in three-time Runner of the Year and All-County awards…finished among the Top 50 racers at Foot Locker regionals…graduated third in her class…also played field hockey.
Personal: Full name is Heather Ann Weiss…is the daughter of Mark D. and Mary L. Weiss…majoring in exercise science with a minor in biology…has one sister, Amanda.
