2012-13 (Junior): Notched two more PSAC place-winning performances in the pole vault during her third season with the Raiders…placed eighth at the PSAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships…posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks with season bests, first indoors at the Bison Open and outdoors at the Bison Outdoor classic…served as SU’s pace-setter in the outdoor pole vault...cleared 11 feet on six occasions during the season.
2011-12 (Sophomore): Achieved PSAC place-winning performances in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors in her second season with the Raiders…established new personal bests in both seasons…tied for sixth in the pole vault at the PSAC indoor championships after clearing a new PR…matched her sixth-place finish at the PSAC outdoor championships…had her best outdoor clearance at the Washington & Lee/VMI meet.
2010-11 (Freshman): Performed admirably in her debut season as a pole vaulter with the Raiders…qualified for the PSAC indoor and outdoor championships…achieved her outdoor PR at the Paul Kaiser Classic from Seth Grove Stadium…established her indoor PR at the PSAC Championships…competed five times during the indoor season and six times during the outdoor season…also appeared in 29 matches with the SU women’s volleyball team, recording 138 digs and 20 service aces.
Hempfield High School: Earned multiple varsity letters competing in track & field, volleyball and bowling for the Knights…achieved three varsity letters in volleyball as an outside hitter and defensive specialist…rewarded with First Team All-League, All-District and All-State honors in her career…was a member of the National Society of Honor Students.
Personal: Full name is Ellen Margaret Ressler…is the daughter of Dave and Beth Ressler…majoring in finance with a concentration in personal financial planning…has two sisters: Amy Armstrong, a member of Juniata’s national championship squad, and Katie Ressler, who has played for Eastern Volleyball…Ellie played one season with SU volleyball.
