Biography
2007 (as a junior): In her first season at the Division II level, Jones competed in seven meets and was among the team’s top five runners in each. Her fastest 6K time came at the NCAA East Regionals, where she completed the Lock Haven course in 23:23. Jones earned Top 30 finishes at the Gettysburg Invitational and the Elizabethtown Invitational and was the team’s fifth-fastest competitor at the PSAC Championships. Her sensational debut track season included a personal best of 10:34 in the 3000-meters and a time of 18:26 in the 5000-meters, where she placed fifth at the PSAC Indoor Championships.
2006 (as a sophomore at Elizabethtown): Jones posted another strong season for the Blue Jays, helping guide the team to its second-consecutive second-place finish in the Middle Atlantic Conference. She finished in 21st place at the MAC Championships, narrowly missing an All-MAC berth with a time of 27:00. Jones ran the course at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships in 25:57.
2005 (as a freshman at Elizabethtown): Jones wasted no time contributing in her first season for the Blue Jays, finishing 29th at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships to earn all-region honors. She placed sixth at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, earning a position on the All-MAC first team, Jones was named MAC Rookie of the Year and recorded a season-best time of 19:24 in a 3-mile run at the Haverford College Invitational. She posted the fourth fastest effort for the Blue Jays at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational, finishing the 5,100-meter run in 21:35.
