Biography
2017 (Sophomore): Competed twice in early-season meets during her second year…ran once at 4K in the Piper Alumni Challenge (4K) and once at 6K in Kutztown’s Division II Challenge (6K).
2016 (Freshman): Ran in six races during her debut season as a Raider, including five at 5K…recorded her best 6K time at the Paul Short Invitational (23:11), serving as the team’s No. 9 runner in the “Brown” race…posted her first scoring performance with a turn as the team’s No. 2 runner at LHU’s Go Fast River Run, finishing fourth overall (24:03).
Upper Moreland High School: Earned three varsity letters competing for the Golden Bears under coach Doug Smith…competed at the club level with the Ambler Olympic Club and coach Mike Howard…won a bronze medal in the 3K at the AAU Junior Olympics…qualified for the PIAA Cross Country Championships…earned All-Suburban One League First Team honors in cross country and honorable mention in track and field.
Personal: Full name is Maria Valerie Antoni…is the daughter of Dave and Valerie Antoni…majoring in exercise science while seeking a minor in coaching…has two brothers, Nick and David.
