Mercersburg Academy: Riford won 12 varsity letters while competing for the Blue Storm under coach Betsey Willis. She was a four-time all-MAPL conference honoree and all-state honoree. Riford won the MAPL conference title in 2009. Her top times include the 5K in 19:34, the mile in 5:28, 3,200 meters in 11:47 and 800 meters in 2:29. She was a member of the Cum Laude Society.

Personal: Mackenzie Kramer Riford is the daughter of Thomas Riford and Maria Rubeling. She plans to major in geoenvironmental studies.
