Biography
2013 (Freshman): Kibathi completed a redshirt season in cross country. On the track, she was a valuable 800-meter runner – contributing to both of SU’s 4x800-meter relay place-winning performances at the conference championships (fourth outdoors and sixth indoors). She was also a PSAC indoor and outdoor qualifier in the 400 meters.
Central Dauphin High School: Kibathi totaled four varsity letters with the Rams under head coach Tom Eck. She was a district medalist and state qualifier as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team and a district medalist at 400 meters. She posted a personal-best time of 59.1 seconds in the 400 meters and 26.59 seconds in the 200 meters.
Personal: Laura Michelle Kibathi is the daughter of Mugane and Patricia Kibathi. She is majoring in management with a concentration in international management.
