2010 (R-Junior): McCollum returned from illness in fine fashion, winning the season-opening Piper Alumni Open and serving as one of the team’s primary runners throughout the season. She was the team’s No. 7 runner at the Atlantic Regional meet with an 18th-place finish and SU’s No. 8 runner at the PSAC Championships with a 17th-place finish. Earlier in the season, McCollum was SU’s No. 1 runner in the 6K Dickinson Long Invitational after a 10th-place finish. She also posted a 5K career best of 18:24 at the Greater Louisville Classic and later served as the alternate to the SU squad that competed at the national championships. During the outdoor track season, McCollum ran at the Division II national championships after qualifying as the No. 9 seed in the 800 meters. She placed second in the 800 at the PSAC indoor championships and fourth in the 800 at the PSAC outdoor championships.
2009 (Junior): Redshirt season.
2008 (Sophomore): McCollum gamely competed in the first two meets of the season, placing 23rd in the season-opening Alumni Invitational with a time of 16:34 and also recording 27th place in the 6K Lock Haven Invitational with a time of 25:42.
2007 (Freshman): The freshman immediately made an impact on the Lady Raider cross country squad after completing all eight meets as one of the team’s top three finishers. She posted three top-ten fin¬ishes, including a fourth-place turn at the 5K NYU Invitational with a time of 19:33. Another fourth-place finish came at the Elizabeth¬town Invitational, a 4K event she completed in 15:04. Her other top-ten finish came in the season opener with a 4K time of 15:58 at the Alumni Open. McCollum was the team’s second-fastest competitor at the PSAC Championships with a time of 24:42 and completed the NCAA East Regional course in 23:11. In the track season, she ran the 800-meter leg of the All American distance relay medley squad.
Susquenita High School: McCollum completed her senior season for the Blackhawks with impressive per¬formances. She recorded her personal-best time of 2:13.62 in the 800-meters at the PIAA State Cham¬pionships during the outdoor season, earning her a sixth-place finish overall. She won the Mid-Penn Conference championships in the 800 with a time of 2:14, upsetting current Lady Raider Abby Huber and Northern’s Rachel Wong. She also posted a personal-best time of 19:17.09 in the 5,000 meters at the Mid-Penn Conference Championships.
