2013 (Sophomore): Brackett completed a redshirt season in cross country. During the track seasons, she competed indoors at 800 meters and in the mile and outdoors in the 800 and 1,500 meters. Brackett also competed in the steeplechase at the Paul Kaiser Classic.
2012 (Freshman): Brackett ran in five races for the Raiders during her debut season, including three at 6K. She debuted with appearances in the Piper Open/Alumni Challenge and the five-mile race at Monmouth. Her 6K personal best was established with a Top 100 finish in the open race at the Paul Short Invitational, completing the course in 24:01. She finished her cross country season with a Top 10 finish at Lock Haven’s Go Fast River Run.
Bensalem High School: Brackett amassed 10 varsity letters for the Owls under cross country coach Dawn Tepper and track & field coach Michael Wilwohl. She was a four-year track participant and a three-year cross country runner, serving as a team captain during her junior and senior seasons. In cross country, Brackett placed eighth as a senior at the Suburban One League championships to earn All-SOL Second Team accolades. One year earlier, Brackett placed 21st at the league championships and received honorable mention. As a track & field competitor, Brackett competed in the District 1 Championships on the 4x800-meter relay squad. Her success in the classroom was noteworthy, as she was selected to the Principal’s List and the Distinguished Honor Roll.
Personal: Gabriella Milagros Brackett is the daughter of Donald and Marta Brackett. She is majoring in exercise science and pursuing minors in both coaching and biology. Gabby has a sister, Brianna, who is a freshman at Shippensburg.
