2013 (Freshman): Huffman ran in the first seven races of the regular season for the Raiders during her inaugural season. She ran once in the postseason, rounding out SU’s contingent at the PSAC Championships with a Top 100 finish. At Lock Haven, Huffman finished fourth overall as SU’s No. 3 runner with a 6K PR. In track competition, Huffman contributed to SU’s sixth-place finish in the 4x8 relay at the PSAC Indoor Championships. Individually, she competed primarily at 800 and 1,500 meters during the outdoor season and in the mile indoors.
Wyalusing Valley High School: Huffman earned nine varsity letters with the Rams under head coach Jim Schools. In cross country, she was a two-time district medalist and state qualifier, earning a state medal as a senior with an eighth-place finish in the PIAA ‘A’ Championships. On the track she was a four-time district medalist and three-time PIAA state qualifier who earned two PIAA state medals – placing fifth in the 1,600 meters as a senior and seventh in the mile as a junior. Huffman’s personal records were 18:25 in the 5K, 11:32 at 3,200 meters, 5:07 at 1,600 meters and 2:18 at 800 meters. She was also a member of the volleyball team.
Personal: Erika Lee Huffman is the daughter of James and Gayle Huffman. Her major is undeclared. She has two siblings, Karlye and Kacey.
