2009 (Junior): In her third season with the Lady Raiders, Dubs made huge strides and became an integral member of the team. Dubs recorded a PR in the 4K during the first race of the season, finishing the Alumni meet in seventh place with a time of 15:35. She was the team’s No. 3 runner in the 6K Mountaineer Invitational and two weeks later recorded a new 6K PR at the Paul Short Invitational. Three times during the season, Dubs finished as the team’s No. 3 runner. At the Division II National Championships, Dubs was the team’s No. 5 runner, recording a time of 23:44. Overall, Dubs competed in seven races and always among the Top 7 finishers for the Lady Raiders. She was also selected to the 2009 USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic squad.
2008 (Sophomore): Dubs ran in four events for Shippensburg while continuing to mature as a cross country athlete. She competed admirably at the Penn State National Invitational with the team’s eighth-best finish and an SU personal-best 6K time of 25:31. That performance was nearly one full minute faster than her 6K time at the Lock Haven Invitational earlier in the season. Dubs also competed in two 4K races, the Dickinson Invitational and the Elizabethtown Invitational, recording a personal-best 4K time of 16:51 in the former. During the track season, Dubs had a breakthrough campaign in which she ran the 800-meters in 2:16.
2007 (Freshman): Dubs raced in four events during her debut season with the Lady Raider program. She competed in two 4K races, posting a season-best time of 17:01 in the Alumni Invitational. At the 5K NYU Invitational, Dubs was the eighth-fastest SU finisher in 21:50. Her 6K time at the Gettysburg Invitational was 26:21.
Personal: Emily Katherine Dubs is majoring in elementary education while seeking a minor in reading.
